Because a BANI world is exposing the limits of “successful” leadership. What worked in a complicated or even complex/VUCA world - analysis, influence, execution - doesn’t reliably work when the terrain is BANI: brittle systems that crack, anxious cultures where tension spreads, non-linear outcomes where effort doesn’t equal impact, and incomprehensible noise where certainty is scarce.
